Persons
with disabilities that limit or impair their ability to walk
may request special permits or license placards for their vehicle
(approval subject to Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicle qualifications-http://bmv.ohio.gov).
In order to accommodate these persons, special parking locations
have been designated in business and government parking facilities.

these designated parking locations, the Ohio
legislature has created significant fines to deter this conduct.

of traffic laws and ordinances in those areas and locations
we have determined to be a targeted enforcement area (TEA).
This is accomplished by a STEP officer (an officer trained in
traffic safety skills) being assigned to a Targeted Enforcement
Area (TEA) on specific dates and times to target general and
specific traffic safety issues. STEP officers will target these
areas repeatedly and randomly to eliminate any traffic safety
concerns or issues through aggressive enforcement and motorist
education programs.

know of an area that could benefit from STEP, call 513-521-7171
and leave a message for the Traffic Section or the STEP Coordinator.
